Euro 2016

Didn't see the 96 documentary but hoping it's on the IPlayer - it holds such fond memories for me and was at a time when I was REALLY getting into football (saw Spurs play at the Lane the first time that year too).

Waste of time on here.

Always bit quiet on here when it's off season and an international tournament is on. Player speculation is merely that and fuck all business happens until the comps are over - if you're spurs anyway!

Woy experimenting in the final prep game - you couldn't make it up.

His approach to game management and tactics is from the book of Napoleon's final strategy...

Did you see the mess he made of Kane Vardy and Alli all for the past it Rooney he is utterly clueless.] The Spurs fullbacks were the best players on the pitch.

It was pleasing to see them perform so well, but Woy's tactics almost made me feel like assailing the security barriers and shaking him by the neck!

Napolean was the greatest military-strategist there has been - thats what some guy called Wellington wrote in his memoirs. The Battle of 'Waterloo' (didnt actually take place in that town, but a distance away) was lost only when the Prussians entered the fray just as the Brits were hanging on late in the day.

Woy aint great but a coach needs to try new tactics/personnel/formations isnt that what friendlies are about ?

the best teams at tournaments invariably try new stuff before the actuality.

if Kane and Vardy are to play then Kane has to play up top with Vardy rightside attacking-midfield (like Eriksen at Spurs). but personally I think that Rashford is the best properly-fit centre-forward England have as his acceleration edges it over Kane (better on-the-shoulder and counter-attacker)

________Hart
Walker, Cahill, Smalling, Rose
________Dier
____Rooney_Wilshere
________Alli
_____Kane_Vardy

I only put Wilshere because of the other options. Henderson & Milner, are average and Wilshere does have a bit more about him.
If he sticks with the formation he played last night for the tournament then I'll be surprised if we make it out the group.

Personally I'm excited about the euro's. Potentially 5 spurs players in the starting lineup, our boys are extremely hungry. If we do well, imagine the boost it would give to our players for next season.
How the f*ck wheelchair is there I have no idea.

Watched the France/Romania game, thought Stanciu was great at times, their pace was good, anyone fancy him? Great second goal for France, dare I say?

I do feel sorry for him - we must have the worst media in the world when it comes to football.

No wonder he got annoyed with the media asking about tactics, why would he announce what his thinking is?

They will only take a photo of it any way

Fantastic defending by Ben Davies.

NAY WONDERFUL DEFENDING, BRILLIANT NRD, lets hope he keeps it up when playing for us, great awareness!

Davies again, almost set up Bale, took the ball off the Slovak, drove forward on his own, nice ball to Bale didn't really get hold of it.

Dirty Skirtel, penalty IMO what was the official doing.

Bale plays differently now I notice, bit more reserved and positionally focused. Not charging up and down anymore.

Come on Wales, you have the measure of these. No pushover though, they create chances. Wales defence good so far.

I dunno if I can put up with listening to savage trying to string a coherent sentence together for much longer.
