Error 651

Working away merrily on my laptop this morning when I lost the internet. We use wifi. No other device in the house was affected. When I tried to get back in, up comes the message "Error 651".
I'm using Windows 7.
I've tried googling for help but everything seems unduly complex.
Any ideas?
