As a rugby supporter I have long felt that Jerusalem should be the English national anthem. So I am very pleased to hear it being played at the Commonwealth Games. Let's continue this at all international events. Please, please though learn the words.

That may be appropriate for some sports, but I think the football team should perform a rendition of the Benny Hill theme tune before each match - as its what goes through my head most of the time while they play....

We have a winner. Anyway an anthem is just set dressing it never won anything.

So the Welsh and Scots won't sing God save the Queen, so we get stuck with it. I want an English anthem. Not a member of the NDP or any right of centre political party, just want some English identity.
