England v Senegal at WFCG

England missing a lot of chances and Germany taking advantage of poor defending chap.
What gets me, chap, after the billions of pounds that goes into English football be it the national stadium, st george's park, the pathway from youth football to the senior team etc etc etc etc...is how little incision and attacking technique most english players demonstrate.

Yes, we can keep posession and aimlessly pass sideways and in front of the opposition, but the skill, technique or strategy to put the ball or player at risk (i.e. pass to a player that is being marked) is woefully lacking at all levels.

Im sure the younglins stats will show 65/35, but how many times have we had 4 players behind the play, passing to a free man who is in no way affecting the play...all to simply rotate position and the ball to end up back where we began with zero impact on the opponents midfield or defence.

Compare our stuttering attacking play with the flow, technique and love of the ball that the Spanish, French, Portuguese, Germans, Japanese, Italians, Serbs, rest of the balkans, Koreans all of south america display at all levels.

We have the best league in the world, but one of the most overrated domestic setups and philopsophies out there.
