Emails - Technical Help Needed

The Fear

A Wise Man (once sat next to him)
Anyone got any ideas? This started last night, says downloading an email, I know there isn't one to download as I use the webmail as well. Isn't just talktalk, it is also my vital email address (happened once this morning)

Re-started computer but that hasn't fixed.

Only started doing this last night but obviously it stops me downloading any emails and sending, so having to use two different webmails at moment.

It may be the server having problems. This message might have come up so quick in the past, you didn't see it, but it may still have been there. This time, it's so slow you see it.

Call Talktalk, if you've got the time!!!

thing that puzzled me is it happened with my own vital email this morning as well.

Will see if this clears today.

Blinking pain these computers, always something!

Any one know about what's going on with that 'super virus' that was all over the news a couple of weeks ago?

I use webmail on the ipad but find talktalks limited heath, no way to embed / attach images etc.

And because I have several email accounts business, personal etc, it is easier on a email client really

A thing like that often happens if someone has sent an enormous attachment, it blocks everything else getting through. Maybe they copied it to your VV account too. If you have a very fast connection you can discount this possibility.

Yeah, I have business broadband, about as fast as we can get around here as they've not sorted fibre optics yet (which is pathetic!)

Strangely turned off router for a while and it cleared the talktalk one but not the vital one.

Will repeat later when I turn the computer off for the night and hope it works. Not very techincal really is it, turning something off and on!

You mean resetting the system Fear, I find a wave of energy passing through an object sometimes works, well it does with my staff, the Mrs and the kids anyway : )

I'm not a computer whizkid but I think you're best off ringing the internet and telling them that there is an email stuck in the tubes. They'll probably send one of those anime dwarfs down there to flush it out.

My mate, Terry, once broke into the internet and he said he found loads of old porn down there stuck in the tubes. He said all the chicks had massives muffs and it freaked him out so he put it back and ran for it.

I feel like I've rung the IT Crowd.... Have you turned it on!?!

Have re set router again, will see in the morning.

If it was just one email I wouldn't mind as sometimes they feck up the system clearing old stuff, but strange it was talktalk and vital.

Then again, all through the same broadband, so might be talktalk!!

I'm with Talktalk dude and i have no probs, but the word technical has scared be a little and given me a headache so i will cower away ;)

Bugger, still doing it... will ring the helpline. Downloading 358kb doo dah today..!

Sometimes i crease myself up. HELP.... Lol... :3:

Jeeeeeeez!

It'll be a problem with the drivers in the Windows Mail app. I remember something like this happening after an update a few weeks ago, something to do with DirectX drivers the update messed up.

I'll see if I can find the link.

This worked on Carrie's laptop a couple of weeks ago, same symptoms, incoming mail stalled...
