EGM SALE OF CLUB

A partner group - Next Leader Fund L.P - which is jointly-owned by Dr. Stanley Choi, chairman of club owners International Entertainment Corporation, is taking control.
IEC voted unanimously to approve the change at an EGM on Friday - with the formalities set to be completed by the middle of this week.
And following on from the vote, Latics have made some changes at the top.

Files posted on the government's Companies House website show directors Kevin Roberts, Wing Lam Leung, Chi Wai Lee, Tat Man Cheung and Xuemei Chen have had their appointments terminated

Meanwhile, Chun Kit Chan, Wai Kay Au Yeung and Man Chun Szeto have been appointed directors of the club.
Latics' executive chairman Darren Royle and chief executive Jonathan Jackson remain directors, as does Royle's dad, Joe.

You think the 12 months (ish) it took to get the club gave them plenty of time to have a look.

Niave yes. I think they thought we had a untapped potential fan base that they could engage. But football isnt like that, if you support Man Utd etc.. you dont normally change team. It happened a bit when we got the Premier League.
But what we have now is what we will have in the future generally speaking.

I hope they continue to support the club as they currently are and the change in ownership structure allows for more flexible funding.

But lets be honest we are never going to have the open wallet of an ambitious and ego driven owner like we had.
