EFL2 Week 10 Away Attendances

Summary of travellers wherever they may roam.

After a really low turn-out mid week, today saw the 2nd highest combined EFL2 away ends this season with over 7400 travelling fans (only Saturday August 25th was higher at 8,325 combined).

Some good numbers out there today- Newport at FGR almost reached 4 figures whilst Tranmere and Exeter joined the 1,000+ club. County also travelled well to Macc (it seems everyone is enjoying a day out in Macc with most clubs so far recording high away numbers when going to Moss Rose- Imps, Stags, County etc)

Only the Potteries failed to travel well (Vale and Crewe) but, as has been mentioned on other sites, maybe the ticket only and no "Pay on the Day" option limited the numbers.

Mansfield (at Bury) 640
Cambridge (at Crawley) 414
Newport (at Forest Green) 964
Port Vale (at Grimsby) 203
Crewe (at Lincoln) 173
Notts County (at Macclesfield) 847
Cheltenham (at MK Dons) 285
Tranmere (at Morecambe) 1367
Carlisle (at Oldham) 679
Colchester (at Stevenage) NA
Northampton (at Swindon) 504
Exeter (at Yeovil) 1328

Good numbers from Mansfield.

Poor from Vale. Is that a tricker journey than I initially think?

Not sure it is tricky (ala Macclesfield from Lincoln) but is probably further than you would think (272 miles round trip).

But A50-M1-M18-M180 is pretty much double/triple carriageway for almost the entire journey

Interesting to see how many Cambridge will bring here in a fortnight as they are in big trouble and it’s been on the cards for a couple of seasons now.

Thanks for doing these StrangelyBrown always find it interesting how many travel away.

Quite a lot of fairly local derby's amongst that lot, but really only 3,000 FGR v Newport and 4,200 Yeovil v Exeter, very poor.

If they reach 400 I will be surprised- Blocks 1-4 SW will be for Imps I would guess.- if they have a complete meltdown and look at les than 300 then Uni and BM 1-2 will be on the cards with whole of SW for Imps
