EFL 'Whole Game Solution'

Notts are offering fans the chance to fill out a survey to give their views on what I can only describe as the bizarre proposals from the EFL. There's a link to the survey from here:

Making FA Cup games midweek matches would be another nail in the coffin of what should be a jewel in our sport's crown and as for a mid season break, I have never got my head around this. In our country, I would say there is a pretty good chance that we could easily have a break when the weather is fine, then return to the fixtures when a cold snap descends. This would cause utter chaos with the fixture list. Don't even get me started on the idea of a fifth division :fire:

These proposals are wrong on so many levels, not least the ridiculous "Whole Game Solution" tagline when it is clearly for the benefit of the Greed League alone. We all have a duty to complete this survey and make our feelings known.

It's worth pointing out that this survey is only open until next Tuesday. Fair dos to Notts for takin the time to put this together. If you get a few minute, it's definitely worth filling in.

I've just received an email from the club with the results of the survey. Most of the changes were opposed by over 80% of the 650 + Notts fans who responded. I was gobsmacked, however, that 177 fans were in support of the introduction of Premier League B teams. If somebody would like to tell me how this will benefit the game at our level, I would be delighted to know.

I was equally gobsmacked. Turkeys voting for Christmas springs to mind.
