Stupid statement from him. We're only half way through season. This time last year Barnsley were in the bottom four of league one, now they're playing in the championship....I rest my case.

Without a salary breakdown for the whole division it is all speculation, despite Gills 88 saying his opinions are fact.

I'm not usually the type to call for a manager to go, but this interview is an absolute joke.
IF he is not the man to take the club on and try and make the playoffs, then man up and walk away now Justin.

The comments don't look great and do suggest a League 2 mentality.
However, to be fair to JED I never take much notice of reported comments and prefer to listen to the whole interview as sometimes seemingly daft comments can make more sense given a bit more context. The exact words of the interviewer are also very important. Listening to the whole interview can of course compound the initial reaction to the comments.
I've often wondered when listening to interviews if JED knows what he's going to say when he starts a sentence. I think planning is an area of improvement for him as both a manager and interviewee.
The article seems very poorly written to me. Much of KOL's content these days is no better then AS Level English standard unfortunately. The sports reporting is normally better than their general news reporting but not in this case.

Sick of reading about his "little Gillingham" tripe. How does he know how big other clubs budgets are ?
I wonder if he thinks we should be able to compete with Oxford - well we didn't.
Sooner he is gone the better (But I would wait to til the end of the season to avoid paying any compensation). I like being little Gillingham but the little Gillingham that punches above its weight and ruffles feathers, not the one that rolls over meekly.
I was talking to a Leicester fan on holiday over Christmas. He made an interesting comment about Gills. He couldn't understand why we weren't a "bigger club" given the catchment area. I think we just need a spark, a backer who can take us to the next level.
