Easter Reflections and Greetings

bfcpete

Vital Football Hero
This weekend would normally be a big footy one, with big crowds and meeting up with and having a drink with fellow football friends. This year none of that is possible. But it does provide an opportunity to reflect a bit more as we have more time on ours hands. The re-establishment of community spirit and caring (volunteering and clapping for carers) has been a great thing in the current crisis and the run into the Easter period. Hopefully, some of that will also continue into the longer term, when our busy lives continue and when we will have to work through the considerable effects of virus on both health, family and the economy. Somehow, I don't think life will quite be the same after this and it will be even more important to support each other. It is perhaps appropriate that Easter is a period that marks the Resurrection. And we had a previous resurrection when Belokon and Sadler saved BFC from the Os. Let's hope the first match back after the Os will be as good as the comeback match after they had gone.
But for now, Easter greetings to you all and, Dave, hope the two of you are feeling better and recover quickly.
