A college classmate of mine is the official Climatologist for the State of Oklahoma. He also happens to be from Buffalo, Oklahoma, which is on the eastern end of the 1930's Dust Bowl of the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles, SE Colorado, SW Kansas, and NE New Mexico. Part of his duties include penning a fairly entertaining blog, which isn't too difficult as the weather/climate in Oklahoma is pretty entertaining on its own. If it's not flooding it's a drought. If it's not a blizzard it's a dust storm. If it's not 118 degrees out it's 15 below, etc.

Here are some pictures he posted of the dust storm that swept through the Oklahoma Panhandle Sunday. Tell me these don't belong in a Ken Burns documentary...
