Douglas Luiz

Which is exactly my point. If you are focusing on 1 year of injury issues only, then you must also focus on the 6 years without injury issues. Hence, his injury record as a whole is overblown.

Should he pick up a further injury quickly again, then the decision is naturally more tricky. But as a club, I think Dyche will manage that issue.

I'm personally more worried about all the minutes which Anderson is playing, but he will need to keep playing until end of January.

With Luiz, Zinchenko, and Dom rotating beside him until Yates and Sangare are back

Yes, but the trouble with that is that he now has this condition. It is no good looking at the six years without an acquired condition- they are now irrelevant. If Douglas Luiz now has a medical condition which makes him more prone to injury, that is where he now is.

Like I said, I wasn't aware of a 'condition' prior to posting, I thought he just had 3 or 4 separate injuries in the 18 months since leaving Villa.

I guess the next 2 /3 months will decide things. If he's an ever present now and going forward, we will likely sign him, and hope we do

Like buying a brand new car that runs perfectly well for a few years and then starts conking out, but keeping it because it used to run well…

Def one of the first names on team sheet if fit but from what we have seen, my money is on him breaking down again within the next few games and I just don’t think we can afford to carry that

Totally irrelevant comment - not a chance we are going down.
Top half finish - 13 points from 8 games under Dyche - whilst getting the team fit and learning his system.
22 games left = 33+ points
Not a chance we're going down? We were literally in the relegation zone on the weekend mate, while West Ham were winning and we weren't.

Incredible what a win will do for hubris. We haven't won at Craven Cottage in years, City are City and Everton just pumped us 3-0. Could easily come out of those games with zero points.

Honestly luiz playing sporadic minutes every so often is not going to be make or break for relegation

We arent anywhere remotely near relegation form under dyche

The exact opposite
We are 16th in the table. That's extremely near to relegation - two places in fact.

Don't know what you've been smoking but little over a week ago Everton walked to a 3-0 win against us.

I'm as pleased with the win against Spurs as anybody but if you think we're home and dry you live on a different planet. Dyche certainly won't be feeling that way.

He said we aren't anywhere near relegation form under Dyche and he is right.

Our form under Dyche is borderline European form. 1.6 points a game would give us 62 a season.

That's not the same as not being in relegation trouble in the table, which we still are because of the Postecoglou interregnum

The table is very deceptive until you look at points column.
We're fine. The rate we're gaining points on everyone else we'll be well out of it by February/March

I’ve just predicted us to win away at Fulham.

Fulham down significantly due to Afcon. Memories of my only PL game since promotion. 5-0 loss, fans singing for cooper for 90 mins, and a week later he was sacked.

Time for a win and I think this the season we beat them. Wonder if Silva starts Traore against Williams? If I was him I’d start him v Savona

And Luiz has had minimal impact on our improvement

Its not like we are only winning games due to his small cameo roles

Forest won at Craven Cottage in the promotion season. I was there amongst the Fulham fans when Zinckernagel rolled the winner directly in front of me. Mind you I was also in amongst Fulham fans for the 5- 0 when Marinakis threw his pass into someone's garden, and had a Fulham winner nodded in directly in front of me last season.

Perhaps it's best I can't go this year.

If we keep this up - sure. But it's a big if.

I'm very pleased with the job Dyche is doing but until we *have* pulled away, we haven't.

As I pointed out, we were literally in the relegation zone for 10 minutes on the weekend while results weren't going our way.

Sure, but we haven't beaten them at their place in the Premier League. Last 3 seasons they beat us 2-0, 5-0 and 2-1. They also beat us 1-0 at the CG last season.

I was also there for the 5-0. I've been there four times in fact cos I'm based in London - all losses.

I'm hopeful for Monday but it's not an easy place to go.

I don't know how you can gauge what impact he's had to be honest Wolf. Against Utrecht he was the best player on the pitch in that first half. But we still went in at HT at 0-0. Does that mean he had no impact?

He will probably start against Fulham given Dominguez is injured and Sangaré is off to Afcon. So I guess let's see.

Traore is one of those players who's crap for large periods but always seems to turn it on against us. Last season he ran Williams ragged in one of Williams' only poor games for us.
