Doping In Sport

I have a real problem with this report. Sky have been condemned by a parliamentary committee who are not experts and as I understand it are not a court of law. Have Sky broken the law, if so why have they not been prosecuted? There is far too much of this mud slinging at the moment without any legal action. I thought I lived in a country that I was presumed innocent until proven guilty, obviously not.

Totally agree Wurzel. The committee of no doubt ever so reliable MPs who really need to deflect from their incompetence in running the country say they cannot say what's in the Jiffy bag nor can they say there was reliable evidence to support the claim from Team sky that it was decongestant in the package.

So basically no one knows!!!!.

So what they (MP's and other sportsmen and women) will do is throw Bradley Wiggins, Brailsford and Team sky under the bus anyway because it's better be seen giving complete outrage and a holier than thou attitude as it makes them look better. This despite all accused refuting the accusations and ignoring Wiggins in particular who states he is a lifelong asthma sufferer which is why he takes certain medication.

As for for crossing the ethical line. Show me a top level sport that doesn't push ethical lines to win. Bit of close to the edge but not illegal ball doctoring in cricket, footballer going down with 'cramp' in injury time to waste time and see out a win, f1 driver 'slowing' the driver behind him to protect his team mate in front who is winning the race.

and if you are taking something legal, like an antihistamine, to give you an edge, I kind of think, so what?

If it wasn't on the banned list, then it was perfectly allowed.

Looks like he was taking it even when he didn't need it though . Whether that is ethical or not I am not sure.

I hardly think our country's MPs are in any position to lecture anybody about ethics.

To think these idiots can come straight out and basically accuse Wiggins is outrageous. It's a slur and Wiggins has got to clear his name otherwise he'll be dragged through the mud.

I saw Wiggins on the news tonight and he says he's clear. I'm sure he is.

Just heard an extract of Bradley Wiggins interview with BBC. Will listen to it in full later.

But in a nutshell 100% denies any wrong doing and handles it very well. Had been gagged for 18 months from saying anything while this report is done and only found out today what he has been accused off by this 'reliable' yet refused to be named source making the accusations and is behind a committee of MP's who wouldn't know a inner tube from brake cable.

Reporter: Would you have won the tour de France had you not taken the medication

Wiggins : no i wouldnt have won because I would have had an asthma attack.

What a way to treat a sporting icon. Normal routine for this country though , build them up and take great pleasure in knocking them down.

I don't know if he cheated or not, but before he is guilty of such a crime he deserves the right to be seen as innocent until proven guilty. These idiots in Westminster are always doing this . Remember the shit storm over celebs legally paying as little tax as they can only to be named and shamed even though they had not done anything wrong.

Here an idea for MPs, if you want to go after people at least pass laws to stop whatever it is you don't like first rather than attacking people who have done nothing wrong.

And of course the reprehensible Piers Morgan has to hold a trial and wade in doesn't he?
