What 3 things do The Imps need to do against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday to pick up all three points?

1) Be clinical. It may seem strange that only 4 days after putting 4 past Southend plus Lincoln being pretty good in the goals scored from efforts on target ratio but Tuesday night showed that chances have to be taken. We are playing against better defenders this season and Doncaster are one of the best teams in the division so chances will be at a premium and when you get a good one you need to put it away. I think it may be low scoring on Saturday and we might only get a couple of decent chances so those that come need to be despatched

2) Keep concentrated. Doncaster have scored 3 goals in injury time already this season, once in the first half and twice beyond the 90th minute. That may be a coincidental statistic or it may be a specific tactic they deploy. Either way keep on your game for the whole match

3) Should we need to chase the game late on, and let's hope this isn't the case, stick the ball into the box. Tuesday night was a good performance highlighting how we have evolved as a passing unit and chances were made but often from distance. Only at the very end did we stick a cross in and on other occasions Shack's header onto the crossbar would have flown in. So if we are behind with 5 or 10 minutes to go then we should consider a bit more old school lumping. I will reiterate though that this is only if we are chasing the game as our other matches this season have shown how good we are as a pitch passing unit
