Assistant Sporting director what on earth does that even mean?

It just feels like the club have got someone cheap in just to shut fans up and will be an easy fall guy for if/when things go wrong.

I dont understand why this club finds it so hard to appoint someone who has actually been the main guy in the role with some actual pedigree behind them.

The club are clearly choosing to go down the “potential” route. Some good young talent recruited last summer and in January, a younger manager who is inexperienced but has pedigree and room to develop. Now looking at this DoF appointment it all fits the club’s operating philosophy. We just have to hope that they’re backing the right horses so to speak.
