Glad we’re close to an appointment, hopefully this one stays in place longer than Montague did🤞🤞. He was brought in under our new ownership
Still puzzled what went on there. Brought in under our new ownership primarily for his data analytics background and company. 6 months later he’s shipped out because ‘there was no alignment on strategy’. In any top firm, a big part of the recruitment process is your shared strategy

Exactly. I’ve always said with this ownership, they have the right intentions and seem to want to build a squad to compete, but we won’t get anywhere if we keep chopping and changing behind the scenes.

Sounded like there were elements of a few things on the go with that, didn't align with what they wanted in terms of targets and style, the whole thing didn't all marry up together. Not sure Sheehan and Montague was a good combination for football anything and Montague wasn't up to standard when it came to doing deals and getting deals over the line.

Coleman saying it puts that to bed then. It’ll be somebody we don’t expect and probably have not heard of. Would love Speakman but think he might end up at Birmingham.

Never trust Walesonline
Wales Online are one of the most reliable sources for Swansea news for me. They may not always be on the cutting edge like Vital but when they state something it tends to be true. I’m not sure why people have such distrust in them apart from the Cardiff bias thing. Coleman is presumably the main point of contact in the press for the club, his info has a better chance of being correct than most 3rd party sources.

Wales Online used to be my go too, many years ago until I started to learn about their process and bias way with Cardiff. For me personally they are poor and lazy journalists who never have original and or exclusive content. Just poor click bait content.

I can agree with the click bate and the amount of adds makes it borderline unusable. I’m not saying it’s brilliant as a publication or anything, just that Coleman himself is usually a good source of accurate info.

I totally get the complaints though and the fact that they have now started monetising access to their articles gives me no hopes for the future of journalism.

my issue with Wales Online is that a lot of the time they just copy other reports out there without adding any insight in to the accuracy of said report. It's literally just regurgitating stories a lot of the time
