Wales Online saying Adam Worth will leave and we are looking at a Director of Football. We’ve had a bit of a revolving door behind the scenes since the owners came in. Hopefully whoever comes in can stay in the job and be settled for a bit. Makes me wonder if we’re recruiting differently this summer. Matos did say in that Rob Philips interview about bringing in some players who can make instant impact. Interesting times ahead. Glad we are hopefully getting in a Director of Football, it’s how all successful clubs operate.

Update: BBC reporting that we’re close to a DoF appointment, should find out soon enough. Please be someone good and not related to the club already!🤞🤞

I wonder whether he left of his own accord or was he pushed.
He gave such a glowing report on Swansea in his departing message.

Any idea when we could see an announcement?
The BBC article said it was close so can’t be too far off. I just hope it’s someone decent.

His presence at the club really is baffling. I know there are links to Gorringe and im not disparaging Mangans strengths at all - he is clearly a decent coach, but how many coaches do we need? We've got the clubs staff here (Margetson, KoL, Allen, Leon etc) as well as Matos' own people who we seemed to go to great lengths to secure.

So what exactly is Mangan doing?
 
Gorringe needs to go if he pulls something like this off. He's already brought 2 former rovers guys in hasn't he?
 
Wales Online reporting that Steve Brown ex-Head of Scouting at Man United is one of the names in the frame to become our DoF. Was hired by Fergie so must have something about him. Left United last year when INEOS restructured. Worked at a high level but no idea if he actually has experience as a technical director?

Definitely. Brown doesn’t sound a bad appointment on paper. Only question mark is that he doesn’t seem to have any prior experience as a technical director (although I might be wrong on that.) If it does happen, it’ll be good to have links with both Liverpool and Man United for potential loan signings.
 
Journalist on X Linking us to Mikael Dorsin as a DoF. Apparently we’ve had talks and he has already turned down another Championship club. Our Swedish connections still going strong. No idea what he’d be like as I’ve only just heard about him. It doesn’t look like jobs for the boys though.

Did he turn us down or has he turned another championship club down? The translation doesn’t quite make it clear.

Either way, we should probably expect to hear something soon, won’t be too long before the window opens.
