Does Nicky get enough credit?

We all talk about Danny and Nicky but I think a lot of us also get drawn into into saying Danny all the time. I have noticed the chants at the ground have sort of migrated away from including Nicky a bit.

As I understand it from what they have said DC and NC are affectively joint managers and even have equal pay. It's just the fact that Danny is more happy to take an up front role than Nicky and really manager and assistant manager are just tags.

I just think we ned to reiterate that these two are most definitely a team and we shouldn't forget that Nicky should get equal accolades for what we have achieved over the last 2 plus years.
 
Nicky does a lot of the set piece work I believe.
Some comments from oppo fans call the guy who spend all day on his laptop....
 
Must admit its ages since I last heard him on radio Lincs. Usually, the assistant comes on the radio after the game if a club has had an embarrassing defeat, but as we haven't had many of those he's not been seen. I'd like to hear his comments for a change anyway. Then we'd say 'whats going on with danny?' You can't win.
Lets hope they shout his name out on Saturday.
 
Classic sibling management here by the older brother. DC keeping NC in the wings so that he can throw the younger brother under the bus when there is melt down after it all goes wrong and our unbeaten streak ends in February 2019.
 
I think that we as supporters fully appreciate what Nicky brings to the club as many posters will refer to them as The Cowleys when discussing how well we have done.
I expect that from a media perspective they agreed a long time ago that Danny would be the face in front of the camera as Nicky seems more than content with working with the players. Not that he doesn't come across very well when called upon.

I would agree that he could easily fulfill the role of manager on his own but realistically they are conjoined as a pair and where one goes the other would follow.
 
He does from me, though not always spoken - I do try occasionally. I reckon he plays an enormous part in the background with the players, tactics, etc. As Casper said, I'm sure they work closely together but I reckon DC takes the 'front line' - I think NC is happier to stay in the background and concentrate on the football. Great teamwork - each playing to each other's strengths.
 
I don’t think they are paid the same technically. I believe they’re paid different amounts but Danny makes it even by giving some to Nicky.

Edit: but obviously Nicky brings an enormous amount to the table. I think he’s the one primarily responsible for set pieces. So the fact that other managers and pundits routinely say we’re the best at restarts is a great credit to him.
 
I used to work with someone that played football with Danny & Nicky in their youth years, he told me
"it was obvious at a very early stage they were going somewhere, but Nicky is definitely the brains of the pair with his tactics and vision"
 
He's not forgotten by me!

I usually type 'DC', because it's quicker than typing 'DC/NC' or 'the Cowleys'!

I think if you look on the sidelines, in general Danny is the one trying to instil in the players what they want done with what they've planned before the game. Nicky is the one looking at the game from the perspective of what the opponents are doing and what they need to change to adapt. There's plenty of head to head stuff going on as well as they swap ideas but that seems to be the split, especially in the first half.
 
good cop, bad cop. i wonder who throws the tea cups.
maybe we should have a 'talk about nicky' week?
