  • Stick with Conte, he's the winner

The good thing about internet forums / websites is the ability to have a good debate with fellow like-minded people but without entering into an argument just for the sake of it.

He still has massive weaknesses for me that have not been addressed since last season

We only have one way of playing which has been shown up when we go away to better teams, there is nothing wrong with parking the pass at certain grounds and taking a point, or setting up not to lose anyway - or at home against a lesser side the slow slow football we see needs to go.

We are still mentally weak, punching and kicking a few Chelsea players after we threw away a 2-0 lead won't hide that, too many times do we not take the chances to close the gap on the league leaders - this and last year

His ability to spot a forward player is dire, as his the way he treats certain players.

Unless he changes we won't win the league under him

I think he is a relatively young manager in one of the toughest leagues in the world. He is learning his trade. He has a young team who sometimes don't show up for important games. The thing that gets me is that when one or two players don't show up you can usually deal with it though changes during the course of the game. When we lose to our rivals its always 4 or 5 that don't turn up. I think the defensive losses have hurt us - and I know some wont like me for it I do think we are missing Lamella. His energy and willingness to track back and chase doesn't seem to be reflected in others.
One loss to Liverpool (although it kills me) is by no means the end of our season.

Stand by our man is what I say. I would prefer him to stay and replace players than vice versa. That's been the way we have done things previously and it got us nowhere.

Its our shite buying positions that have caused us to just fall short.....poch really needs to add sensible astute buying to his armour and he will get us there.

Sadly he hasn't got in between the ears.

He knows how he wants to play and knows what players fit that (striker apart) but when things do not go to play, he has absolutley no idea what to do. He takes ages to react and when he does 9/10 it is not the smartest of his options.

Poor bench I hear people say. Well it is, but often there are players there who could do something but aren't used. He has had nearly three years in charge, got rid of a huge number of players and bought in a huge number more. If there are no options it is down to him.

He is a fitness coach and nothing more. Sad that too many people just can't see through the Emperors New Clothes.

I agree with you entirely I always say he is not as good or smart as people think always outwitted and as you say very slow to react..You do not have to be a professor to realise on Saturday after 10 mins that he had to change something as some have mentioned same old slow passing back and sideways taking too many touches I am sorry we have good decent players but the manager need to change his approach to different games or move on

Without a doubt he got it wrong last game but he got us to second. Managers with nothing between the ears don't do that. Liverpool have had a bad run, how do you explain that ? Shite manager Klopp is he ?

I was critical of Poch for blaming the players and using the wrong strategy but it's one game away to a very good side.

Even managers above our wage bracket "World class" are performing worse than he and they arguably have better squads and more experience. I'm not complaining.

We are 2nd at the moment and its going to take all we have to stay there or try and hunt the chavs down.

He is a good manager but he has to take half the blame for liverpool. His forward signings leave a lot to be desired. We have a favourable run of games coming up so lets see what happens.

So....RM and United are supposedly after Pochettino. Is PSG that good a test for a manager?

I think he will crack at either of those teams.

PSG are our ManC - they've spent vast sums of money to ensure they sit at the top of the French league moreoften than not - occasionally they'll lose (just as ManC did) but you know that's a rarity.

Poch will only ever be judged by his ability to win the CL with them, same as Pep can only be judged by beating Europe's best when in matters (something he's failed to do so far).

Being successful in the PL with the way that ManC and even Liverpool are dominating would be a huge achievement, until then I don't think either manager can easily and clearly be judged - their home leagues are just too easy for them to win.

One of the best pieces of advice you get in life is that you learn more from the tough experiences than the easy ones. Poch did so much right for Spurs in the first two-thirds of his tenure with us. However, I always felt he was a little bit naive in certain big games and didn't set out the strategy well. He would have suffered personally towards the end, but hopefully became a stronger coach.

What is currently most important for Poch is to get some trophies on his CV. It doesn't matter if it is Ligue 1. He's got them 13 points clear after 25 games and that will allow him to rotate as the CL fixtures come thick and fast. That Real Madrid second leg will be a fantastic fixture.

I do think he'll end up at Utd. The shambolic defending will stop and he will improve things there, but that's not difficult.
