Does any one realy have any idea of who is taking us over how rich are they

The consortium as a whole, are richer than Dave Whelan.
One of them is apparently the 8th richest men in China, and their economy is booming. We are talking Billions, rather than Millions.

A view is that IEC is not particularly big or profitable but that they are just a small cog in a much larger organisation. At this point we’ve no idea if we represent a tax dodge or whether the parent company intend fund us ‘through’ IEC. At this point it could be either of those or more likely one of a host of other complex wheels within wheels scenarios ?

Does anyone have any idea how long it is likely to take for football league ratification and for announcement on the Chinese stock market?

It’s a consortium.

IEC are simply one (small) part of a larger investment company. If I had to predict their intentions I’d say they’re launching some kind of leisurel/hotel/casino type brand in the UK. The “Choi is a professional poker player” line is a little tabloid. He’s simply wealthy enough from his other interests to enter a handful of tournaments.....winning big at one.

One things for sure. These talks have been ongoing for some time. So you’d hope all avenues have been explored. Also looks like Sharpe and co. could be staying in position.

I looked into this back in December when the takeover was allegedly close and it appears judging from other clubs reccently bought that it takes something like 2-4 weeks for the FA to ratify once the deal is submitted to them.

I imagine the Chinese Stock Market announcement would be immedietely after everything else is confirmed.

To VAT 69:
A consortium is made up of 2 or more; any more names as well as Dr. Choi Chiu Fai Stanley? Whom, by the way, is not the 8th wealthiest man in China.

To Studds40:
IEC is NOT part of a large investment company. They are a single entity plc listed on the HKEX no 1009. They're presently trading around 19-20 pence (UK) and provides no dividends. The 'Hong Kong Bulls' have recently dropped IEC from their 'buy' list for potential growth. That's the reality!

Dr Choi is the chairman of IEC and is a talented and renowned businessman in the 'mergers and acquisitions' field. He is also a poker champion and plays in competitions for prize money only. He is not, as some would have us believe - a gambler or a card sharp.
