An online password manager? If so which one do you use?

My new laptop keeps asking me if I want to set up password manager with dashine. Anyone heard of them? I have checked them out online and they seem to have a good rep.

I am just unsure about using one. I have alot of passwords. I have my own way of saving them all manually in an address book by letter. I can remember most of them anyway now as they are regularly used sites.

They are saved in a way there is only me who would know what they are because of the way I write them down.

I am happy with this. It's worked for me for years. I just wondered what others thoughts are on it?

I am just not keen on a password manager having my password details however safe it is.

Mine are saved in my browser (Safari) and something to do with iCloud, which syncs them across my laptop, desktop and phone.

I also have them written down and saved in an encrypted file. So not a password manager as such, but it does save me having to remember them. They are all quite obscure letter/symbol/number combinations, so I think they're probably as safe as they are going to get.

Safe does not exist

Should have said ''however safe they say it is'' Agrees with this. I think I will be sticking to what I have always done which doesn't involve online password managers

Dash lane came preinstalled on my new laptop. I uninstalled it because it was annoying me.

Most browsers will save your passwords for you.

Password protected spreadsheet on Dropbox works for me. I can use if for lots of things, other than just the passwords.

Tried Keepass and a few others, but didn't like being stuck with the templates they gave you.

Thank you all for your impute! I think that is what I will do too BB as it is doing my nut in popping up every 5 minutes. Doh! I should have thought of that. It is what I automatically do with McCaffey when I get a new laptop which is uninstall it

wouldn't use online/cloud or browsers for passwords myself
(unless also encrypted perhaps)

I like & use KeePass for the 300+ passwords it appears I've accumulated
