Do you think humans to blame for certain animal extinctions?

Would mother nature have taken these animals on her own, or have we forced her hand with our destructive nature?

Side note; do you believe we are part of Earth's circle of life at all..?

Undoubtedly. We have changed so many habitats in such extreme ways, it is a certainty some species have been wiped out by us and many more endangered.

Evolution will sort it all out. We'll get wiped out one day, and the balance restored.

Part of evolution is that species which are better adapted to their environments thrive while those less well adapted don't.

A certain amount of extinction is inevitable but that masks the massive damage we are doing to the environment.

My concern isn't for the poor little animals who are going extinct but for our own species. When we destroy the environment, we are basically destroying our own house. We don't have anywhere else to go.

Luckily, I won't be around to face the consequences but the Earth which my grandkids and great-grandchildren have to live on will be significantly more hostile than the one we inhabit today.

Still, it's already too late to put that genie back in the bottle so there is no point in worrying about it.

We need to cop on with this Tuna fishing because I can't live without my sushi tuna.

Well, we weren't responsible for dinosaurs going!

And then Bodybutter covers the serious side, we've driven many a species to extinction in our utter arrogance and continue to do so.

The giraffe is the latest endangered animal I was reading about recently. It is due to losing their habitat as well as poaching

thanks for all the replies guys!

We for sure have hunted some species to extinction, but I also believe that if we weren't around some other predator would have done similar damage to a different demographic of animal..

eg. If apes were the biggest predators they would have multiplied until their food source become completely unreliable and had to adopt a new feeding strategy until they obliterated that and so on and so forth. Who knows maybe they would have had to evolve a local language & develop the technology we have now haha..
