Ditch your CD's and MP3's, vinyl is back!

You might not believe this but the humble record is making a surprise comeback.

Sales of vinyl are going through the roof with sales currently better than they were in 90s.

The resurgence of vinyl is clearly great news for the music industry but it’s also creating a new market in tech turntables.

Some of the biggest names in technology are joining the vinyl revolution with Sony the latest firm to show off its modern day take on a retro gadget.

I had a Kenwood multi-stack (CD player, tape machine, record player, amp and two massive speakers) which lasted me 20 years however, it died on me around 5 years ago.

Four years without a turntable (I missed playing my vinyl) I went out and bought a cheap turntable with two small speakers. It works ok but not a good as my old Kenwood, nevertheless playing old records brings back the nostalgic Dave out of me.

Vinyl has that depth and feel digital recordings simply don't have - I love it.

I think the last time I bought vinyl was in the early 90's.

Can't remember the last time I listened to vinyl or CD. I've got all my music in MP3 on my PC. Listening to 'Look into the sun' by Jethro Tull as I type :music:

Not got a large collection, but it's a mixture of vinyl, tape cassette, and CD.

I've got an mini Alba music centre, made up of turntable, radio, tape cassette, and CD. I honestly can't remember how long I've had it.
I've also dug out an old Walkman that I use on matchdays for radio use and tape.

All my Smiths stuff is on tape. 'Meat Is Murder' DOESN'T have 'How Soon Is Now?' included, which is what you'll find on CD.
