Dissertation help!

Hi, my name is Tom Beckingham and I am a third year student at Liverpool John Moores University, studying Sport Development with the business of sport. I am asking for you to take 15 minutes out of your time to complete a short questionnaire for my dissertation project. The aim of the project is to gain an insight into fans perceptions of who is responsible for the current financial state of the Premier League. I would be extremely grateful for your time.

Done. Some of the wording in some of the questions is quite hard to follow though.

But its a good point. Personally I'd say that the majority of the funding is put forward by the media, rather than the club itself, but how each club invests, be it in infrastructure, global reputation, transfer expenses, wages etc dictates exactly how efficiently the books are balanced.

Levy will always have his detractors, but he's steadied us to the point that we really are a self sufficient side that lives well within its means

I apologise for the wording I'm aware its a slight issue but because i've used quotes from literature I could only do so much with them. Levy being in charge has helped the club massively especially with the new stadium approaching.

I can't quite do the Levy fest; he's managed finances adequately; we are (I still believe) the second highest average ticket prices in the PL and under ENIC the cumulative highest increases in prices over the period of their ownership - so alot of the 'credit' should also go to those fans who've paid these increases year in year out (without too many squabbles), that said, the club acted reasonably throughout the worst couple of years of the credit crunch.

The balance of revenue used to be ticket sales first, commercial income second and media income last - that's almost been turned on it's head these days (except of course our commercial rev's haven't grown as the other top 5-6 clubs have over the same period).

So credit to Levy for being a prudent finance manager, but as some of his over the top detractors would say - it's taken him a very long time to stop shooting from the hip and making the same mistake again and again (that's if he has!) and what did that do to our progress where it mattered i.e. on the pitch?

Good luck with your dissertation.....
