I've voted "yes" but technically I waited until 12 o'clock as here in Norway they do not observe Armistice day so I chose to observe the silence at the same time as my compatriots in my homeland, 11 UK time 12 here.

I'm being honest and saying No, because I missed it by 10 minutes.

The reason why? I got lost with the times here and in the UK and because I was actually watching our 1982 European Cup Final on youtube...... sorry.

I did but posted on here as it was going on which i thought afterwards was a bit wrong tbh

Will someone please shut Fear up, he just goes on and on and on.

I didn't so voted no cos of circumstances else I would have done. Reason: lousy night sleep re health and slept in

It's a yes from me, was watching TV and watched scenes from around UK. Very moving, think I appreciate it more the older I get.

Yes I agree on that. I certainly do. They were just stories to me when I was younger. Now I feel more about it

I most certainly did.

My Uncle lost a leg at Dunkirk , the 2 blokes alongside him died, He never ever said anything about what he saw nor did he ever collect his medals.

Must have been awful to put it mildly.

Yes.
Dont know whether its because im older and noticing it more but i think its something thats getting stronger.

For example, my lads school all went onto the school field held the silence and a teacher and pupils played the last post. Dont remember me doing that when i was at school, it was more sit in the classroom for a minutes silence rather than a more formal thing.

Anyway. The observance of this day should continue forever.
