Did Humans and Dinosaurs coexist?

I think he's taking the piss Heath, the idea that humans in any form were around 65 million years ago is simply ludicrous.

I think there is a chance some dinosaur species survived the appocolyptic event and could have been around as we come along, some ancient cultures claim this was the case.

Arrrr man that was great one touch footie then unlucky ffs

Clive, get a grip. Dinosaurs were extinct 65m years ago, and we have been here for about 200,000 years. That's 64,800,000 years apart.

Really. Our education system needs a complete overhaul.

If people don't want their religion to b mocked then they shouldn't talk such bollocks like humans were around at the same time as humans.

Plus, Christopher Moltisanti sums it up in the nicely in The Sopranos in response to an over enthusiastic Christian, who believed the world was only 6000 years old and that man shared the Earth with dinosaurs Christopher's response -

"What's he saying, there were dinosaurs back with Adam and Eve? No way, T-Rex in the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve would be running all the time, scared shitless, but The Bible says it was paradise!"

You forget though, facehead, there was no evil in the World until Eve ate the Apple, so animals did not eat each other. They lived in complete harmony. Mind you, the carnivores did all starve to death, but that's still not evil. Just part of Gods wonderful World.

Do you realise how much corrosion has taken place since world war II under the sea off various Normandy Landing sites? And this is in way less than a century. In 1000 years are you going to say that the war happened 65m years ago?

I dont think you realise what changes can be seen in just a decade, let alone a thousand years. Just think back at the changes in your own short time here on the planet.

We are finding some dinosaur remains with blood vessels, we see ancient drawings, stones, tablets that all depict dinosaurs co-existing with humans. And to date I have yet to see any Dinosaur remain that has been dated "itself". And yes Kat, they are mentioned in the bible, so to are Neaderthals.

If you think that erosion is responsible for the layers of rock on top of Fossils, then there really is no hope. We don't date the fossil, we date the rock around it. It's called Stratigraphy. You might remember it from a previous thread when I made you look a complete moron on the subject.

It's funny how all around the World the same types of Dinosaurs give us roughly the same results. It's almost as if God wanted to fool us. :64: :64: :64:

You can't even explain how Carbon Dating works, you idiot, so why should anyone trust a word you say on the subject?

And there is not one mention of a Dinosaur in the Bible. Not one. This revisionism is bloody annoying, if I'm honest. Every time Science makes strides forward you Bible bashers all claim that you knew it all long. If that is the case, why didn't you tell us and save us all the trouble of finding out the long way?

Must have done, I saw a documentary with Raquel Welch in that showed them.
Then there is Gwangie

Heath - that is just it, you didn't. In fact you made yourself look an idiot in that thread because up until I pointed it out to you, you never realised yourself than no "actual" dinosaur remains have EVER been dated.

I knew all along that they dated the rocks around them and I understand how carbon dating works - they will not use it on dinosaur bones because they assume they are too old.

Really? Why did I hide the answer three pages earlier in one of my posts, but you couldn't recognise it because you have no idea what dating techniques are used? Just because you are not educated enough to know about Stratigraphy, don't assume others are in the same boat.

You don't understand how Carbon Dating works, because you can't answer my question - what is the single most important factor of an Isotope that allows us to date accurately. You think the Mt St Helens eruption can be potassium 40-argon 40 dated. How stupid is that?

And what about these Dinosaurs in the Bible? Where are they, or do you agree you were wrong?
