Derby v Swans

Another tough one on Saturday before the two week International break. Derby away, a club in administration fighting for their lives, bottom of the table with 12 points already deducted for going bankrupt and 9 points pending for breaking FFP rules.
A big club, well supported, and with a 34k capacity stadium, it could be an attractive buy for investors. A crowd of 18,769 turned up to watch them beat in form Reading 1-0 on Wed night for their third victory of the season and move into positive points at +1 in the table (without the 12 point deduction they would be 3 points above us in the table on 13 points). Derby don’t score many goals, seven so far, but don’t let many in either, with eight conceded.
Swans meanwhile are licking their wounds after the Fulham trouncing.
A game where selection naivety was shown by the coaching team, playing players out of position, centre-back Cabango at full-back against pacy winger Kebano, slightly built full-back Naughton at centre-back against the divisions leading scorer, the strong and powerful Mitrovic. It was an unmitigated disaster with Mitrovic scoring a hat-trick, and he could have had at least two more.
With Laird and Bidwell playing high up and not tracking back to help, Cabango and Manning were left cruelly exposed on the flanks.
Ntcham went off with a hamstring injury and will not play at Derby, and with our other new recruits still not fit or injured, the squad is looking pretty thin on the ground. Bringing in players with a history of being injured hasn’t helped either.

A vote of confidence for the back three after the Fulham rout.
Brandon Cooper dropped from the subs bench for Rhys Williams.

Our line-up:
B.Hamer, B.Cabango, K.Naughton, R.Manning, J.Latibeaudiere, F.Downes, M.Grimes (c), J.Bidwell, K.Smith, J.Paterson, J.Piroe.

Subs:
S.Benda, J.Fulton, M.Whittaker, L.Cullen, E.Laird, L.Walsh, R.Williams.
