If Jefferies isnt fit, Elder at LB and move Reach forward.
 
Or will Lincoln go with a slightly weaker team? Interesting that the club considered the early FA Cup exit at Salford to be a blessing in disguise last season - could the same philosophy be applicable to the (pointless) Carabao Cup this time around?

I believe our opening nine league games present the kindest run of the season - a pity in a way that we will be playing those nine games whilst we are still building a squad and gelling as a unit.

I could not agree more with your comment regarding the first nine games we really need to be getting points on the board early doors with these easier looking games so I am not too bothered about Saturday but think we will get beat 3 nil

Doubt Sonny will play after missing the Donny and Barnsley games? Whoever does though, I hope Smozdick gets squished.
 
We seem to be hearing a lot from Callum Elder pre and post match since he signed which seems to signify that he will be a regular starter.
We have heard very little from Club Captain Darikwa which seems surprising.
 
Didn’t I read/hear somewhere that Andrei Coubis will be involved? Perhaps they’ve briefed him on Szmodickhead and he will be in close proximity (but not too close😳). Wouldn’t surprise me if Melia came off the bench as well so we can get an early look at the two them in a competitive match - maybe even Josh Honohan as well off the bench if they want to see how he goes with little at stake before the serious stuff begins. Just a thought.
