Democracy in Crisis?

Green Tea - 10/11/2016 12:22

It was extremely clear and we had Cameron conduct a speech spelling it out to the people, This was as well as numerous live TV debates.

As it is so clear, perhaps you can explain to us all what we are going to get post exit?

No, scrap that. We've already heard enough of your ideas, and they will bear little resemblance to what actually happens.

Bringing the thread back on topic;

Just watching QT, and David D asked, "Why did people voted for Trump", this is just after somebody raised the point that Trump said "all Muslims will be banned from USA".....

Isn't it obvious?

If we are talking democracy in the Western World v PC = Then the democratic vote what I seem to see, is that little tolerance is shown over Islam.

If we went to Saudi Arabia would they show PC over Atheism, Christianity, Buddhism?

You have to remember a vote is private and personal and they voted for a man that has come out against Muslims...Is this not democracy/freedom? Or do we suppress such feelings because it doesn't fit with Political Correctness? So again GREAT THREAD = Is democracy in crisis? YES IT IS!

if yes or no isn't clear then lord only knows what is
repeatedly going over the same ground still doesn't mean the vote wasn't prefectly clear

democracy seems such a problem when you don't get the result you want

:26:

(in regards to brexit obv rather than summat about muslims and other drivel)

Jonathan Pie nails one of the main reasons in this brillian rant.
