Deleting and tings

The Fear

A Wise Man (once sat next to him)
So, I was talking with bodybutter yesterday and a look of bewilderment came over his face when I said I deleted texts and also emptied the deleted folder (very regularly)

I went in to explain I also delete the deleted items in my sky box and also keep very few emails and always empty my deleted email folder.

So I guess the question is. Am I freak lol

Yes. :14:

More seriously, I don't think so. I don't bother with texts, but emails I clean out regularly. I also have a very organised file structure on my computer, so I can find stuff easily. It just makes life easier later down the line, doesn't it?

It does Heathfield. I too clean out my deleted emails, spam is cleared daily and files are kept tidily so I know where everything is too.

It's a case of good house keeping.

Every week or so I have a deleting session. Sadly at work our group e-mail folder only gets deleted when I do it and I have now come to the conclusion that I am actually the only one in the group who can read. :3:

I was the same as Bodybutter when you told me. I just think it's bizzare.

I used to delete texts back in the old days when texts clogged up your phone space, but in these days of huge storage why bother?

A year down the line you might want to find something out like a birthday or an account number or something useful that was sent in a text, and you can just go back through your old ones and check it out.

Same with e-mails. Very rarely delete anything other than spam.

Just got an obsessively tidy mind I think. I remember you being as incredulous deano. Lol

This is me

:110:

I delete everything . My email inbox currently show 6 emails which I need to keep , my text inbox is empty and my whatsapp has 4 showing .

All my deleted emails have been deleted and my spam is empty.

Anything I need to keep is stored in a folder .

I keep my text's so I can check back if needs be. I do delete down when the mood takes me. I didn't used too. I was obsessive over that been cleared as well. I am now a little easier on that. I do clear out text at the time as they come through that are one off texts such as from taxi firms who tell you, it's on it's way, it has arrived and it has now dropped you off. Other such I clear down are one pin sign in messages, companies reminding you your bill is due to be paid and so on. I have no need for them so they must go.

As for emails OMG yes I am the same. I have three email addresses. 1 is personal, the other is recovery/business and the other is my comping email.

I have all three set up on my mobile as it is easier to clear down from there. My comping email is cleared down two or three times a day. My junk box is erased once checked two or three times a day. My delete email is also deleted everyday so I can see where things are and it is neat and tidy.

My other two emails don't get as much in them as my comping email addy does so it doesn't need clearing down to the same extent as my comping email however they are checked a couple of times a day, dealt with, filed or/and deleted from the delete box as well.

Neat, clean, tidy and know where everything is is the only way I can work

I've just opened up my Yahoo to check.

I have 6,550 emails in my inbox of which 1,433 are UNREAD.

They date back to 2004.

Oh my God Deano! My OCD is going into flare up just thinking about it. Goes and sits in the corner and has a ''meltdown'' :23:

If there are any emails I think I need to keep, they have to go in a folder. Never keep it just in the inbox, as you can never find it again.

I shudder at the thought of 6,000 plus!!!!!!!

I have 20,000 emails in my works email account and I delete all the company propaganda . I deleted 10,000 emails a few weeks ago and got it down to 17,000 but it's back up again.

My home email however I delete ever few weeks and just keep important stuff.

I delete my phone texts straight away in case the missus find them
