Deaf mum sues Little Mix promoter in sign language row.

Now I'm all for equal accessibility but isn't this going a bit too far?

Her solicitor Chris Fry, managing partner of Fry Law, believes the action shines a light on a wider point.

"People with sensory impairment actually want to attend musical and sporting events just as anybody else does," he says.

I actually rather like the idea of the sign-language person coming up on the big screen at Villa Park while the Holte belts out My Old Man.

This is just someone out to cause trouble. The case should be thrown out as frivolous and costs should be awarded to the defendant.

It's sad when people have a disability but it's just a fact of life. The mother seems massively demanding. She could have been the interpreter. Concerts cannot cater for all.

Years back I had a bad experience at a concert after my brain aches, the cavity at the back was echoing with the bass. Should the concert have had the bass turned down?

And sometimes I would have needed to have lay down, should the venue have provided a bed?

No, the sad answer was, for a long while, I couldnt' attend concerts.

No one to blame, no one to sue, just life.

I fear that the PPI saga and the "Have you been in an accident that wasn't your fault?" adds are an udesirable import that is coming to the UK through the US dominated entertainment media. I don't blame America or Americans for this, it's a part of their culture and society but it's a part that does not sit well in the British culture, but where there is money to be made there will always be those looking for a new angle and this is an ever more popular angle in the UK.

She could have been the interpreter.

I'm not defending her, but asking her to be her own interpreter is a bit harsh.

How would she know what to interpret? She's deaf. :19:

It's often difficult to make out football chants on TV. Obviously, this situation is intolerable. The FA should provide subtitles to all football chants for fans watching at home.

Mom has a point about the Equality Act, but demeans herself (and arguably the argument) then arguing that they didn't think of support acts when she hadn't either.

My late Mom had a nasty fall in respite which led to her breaking her leg, and ultimately her life was cut shorter because of it. If that is what you can call her life, as she had Alzheimers. Mom was always accident prone. Mom collided with another lady as they were passing through the main living room.

It was an accident! That's was it. The manager was way OTT when we went to get Mom's things explaining what had happened. I must admit to letting her sweat a bit. In the end I said ''I am not suing. It was an accident''

People were shocked. They said we should have sued. It would have been blood money IMO. It was an accident. Short of a nurse holding there hands per person wherever they go, life throws accidents. No way was I going to take money out of the system that needs it.

Same with Dr Death, The Grim Ripper from Leeds: people said we should have sued. Sued for what? Sued because he was a 'first class d*ck who was to communication what Hitler was to world wide peace. We put in constructive feedback. That did far more good and got the message over far better than suing.

In both cases I had far too much on too be bothered anyway and far more that mattered

Mom has a point about the Equality Act,

Technically yes but let's be sensible or the next step will be a retrospective case against Marconi for not providing subtites or a transcript of each show.
