Journalist and TV presenter Henry Kelly has died aged 78, his family has announced.
Kelly was a journalist who later pivoted to light entertainment, hosting TV gameshow Game For A Laugh and Going For Gold in the 1980s and 90s.

Actress Michelle Trachtenberg has died aged 39.
The American actress was best known for playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer's younger sister Dawn Summers, and later took on the role of manipulative socialite Georgina Sparks in Gossip Girl - which ran from 2007 to 2012 - as an adult.

Brian James (born Brian Robertson) aged 70. Original guitarist and song writer with the punk band The Damned.

RIP Brian. Go and see if she's really going out with him!

Unfortunately Brian James had left The Damned by that time. Nevertheless, a brilliant single.
 
The actor Val Kilmer has died aged 65.
Known for his roles in some of the biggest movies of the 1980s and 90s, including Top Gun and Batman Forever, his Top Gun Iceman role was repeated in the latest film in 2022.

George Wendt, who starred as Norm Peterson in the popular comedy series Cheers, has died at the age of 76.

Wendt starred as Norm in all 275 episodes of Cheers, which ran from 1982-93. He earned six consecutive Emmy nominations for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series.

Frederick Forsyth - author of many books, including Day of the Jackal has died aged 86.
