Tributes have been paid to former Great Britain winger Des Drummond, who has died at the age of 63.
Drummond, who played 24 times for Great Britain, was described as "a player whose brilliance, athleticism and personality transcended the sport".
He was a legend at both Leigh and Warrington - winning the league title with Leigh in 1982.
 
EastEnders actor Leonard Fenton has died aged 95.
Fenton was best known for playing Walford's original GP, Dr Harold Legg, and appeared on the BBC soap in its very first episode in 1985, with his last scenes airing in 2019.

Olive from.On The Buses has died.

On The Buses star Anna Karen has died in a house fire in east London.
Firefighters were called to the scene on Windsor Road, Ilford shortly after 10.30pm last night.

It took the crew less than an hour to bring the blaze on the ground floor of a terraced house under control. But the actress had tragically died by then.

Fire chiefs say they are still investigating the cause of the tragic inferno.
The 85-year-old was best known for her role in 70s comedy On The Buses, but also appeared in EastEnders as Aunt Sal, sister of Peggy Mitchell, played by Barbara Windsor, her lifelong friend.

Legendary Australia wicketkeeper Rod Marsh has died aged 74 after suffering a heart attack.

Marsh was taken ill last Thursday while travelling to a charity cricket match in Queensland.

He effected 355 dismissals - a world record at the time of his retirement - in 96 Test appearances for Australia from 1970 to 1984.

Actor Peter Bowles, famous for starring opposite Penelope Keith in BBC comedy series To the Manor Born, has died at the age of 85, his agent has confirmed.
He also appeared in films such as The Bank Job, Eyewitness and the Steal as well as TV shows including Victoria, Magnolia Street and Only When I Laugh.
The actor's agent said Bowles had "sadly passed away from cancer".
"He leaves his wife of over 60 years, Sue, and their three children Guy, Adam and Sasha."

The Wanted star Tom Parker has died at the age of 33 after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, the British boy band have announced.
The singer told fans in October 2020 that he had an inoperable tumour.
His wife Kelsey Hardwick wrote on Instagram: "Our hearts are broken." The pair had two young children together.

Actress June Brown, who played the much-loved character Dot Cotton on EastEnders for more than three decades, has died at the age of 95.
Her family said they were "deeply saddened" to announce that their "beloved mother" had died "very peacefully" at her home on Sunday.

D-Day veteran Horace "Harry" Billinge has died aged 96 following a short illness, his family has confirmed.

Mr Billinge was appointed an MBE in 2020 after raising funds to build a national memorial honouring his fallen comrades.
He dedicated it to the 22,442 service personnel killed on D-Day and during the Battle for Normandy.

David McKee, the children's author and illustrator known for the Mr Benn series, has died at the age of 87.
The Devon-born writer, who also created Elmer the Patchwork Elephant and Not Now, Bernard, sold more than 10 million books around the world.

Henry Patterson, the best-selling author of The Eagle Has Landed, has died aged 92, his publisher has said.

Patterson, who began writing when he was a teacher, penned 85 novels between 1959 and 2017.

HarperCollins said Patterson died at his Jersey home surrounded by family.

The Eagle Has Landed, about a Nazi plot to kidnap Sir Winston Churchill in World War Two and written using the pseudonym Jack Higgins, sold more than 50 million copies and became a film.
