Danny after four or five...

Not sure but we need around 24/25 players IMO, then we can bring in good quality replacements and hopefully avoid burnout like the last few weeks of this season.

I'm guessing this is permanent signings not including loanees as Danny said we had a squad of 19 for the season just ended but that didn't include the loans.
Otherwise we'll end up with the same problem with out players of position due injuries and players looking knackered again.

At think we presently have Fifteen signed on. Suspect Long and Whitehouse will be offered short term contracts. Nathan well I am not clear whether he is in/out of contract so probably 17/18 depending who stays out of those three. Add five to that and you have a small workable squad. We need a LB/CB who likes it playing on the left and a striker. The Cowley will defo want at least another winger maybe two/three.

rowe, williams, knott, wharton all gone. chapman [will he break into the team?] and habergham the only left footed players remaining. back to the same problem we were addressing last season - squad balance.

and just two wingers - arnold [will he play] and anderson

if it is five we are adding, there are some obvious gaps:
1 main central goal poacher
2 left centre back
3 left midfielder/left winger
4 left sided striker/winger
5 left back competition

are any of the current youth team going to be offered contracts - o'hare?

I think we'll see the 4-5 in before pre-season. Once they're back in training and trialists and maybe players who thought they could get a deal higher up but haven't become available there'll be a second window in July.

i agree, didn't danny start by saying 4 or 5 last season, and said similar again in january... we ended up signing 7+chapman. might depend how well pre-season goes, and if anyone else leaves.

If we can pick up another overlooked player rejected after trials with other clubs and they turn out anywhere near as good as Eardley, we're on to a winner!

Vickers was back in training before the end of the season but wasn't risked and instead given more recovery time given that we had an adequate GK in Allsop.

Correct rob the imp it`s all a matter of research and putting the hard yards in whilst others are p1SSING it up on the beaches of Spain and Skegness.
We are lucky at Lincoln to have hungry managers(plus DC is one of the finest motivators of men in the efl) who are armed with cheque books....it`s an optimistic outlook for imps fans.

Think we’re in a very positive position personally... we have the nucleus of last seasons squad all signed on prior to any activity in the transfer window.

Bring in 2/3 quality additions and a few extra squad players and things will look very rosy.
