Why bash Levy all the time. We have an amazing squad/academy/new stadium. And we are still the most profitable premiership club. We all want trophies, but let's not bankrupt the club trying!

I'm not an anti-basher (as per my comment at the foot of the article). it was a Sunday slow news day and so I wanted to be mischievous. Anyway, the article got folk debating, just as I had hoped.

Lets be honest we are far from bankrupt and spending over 100m isnt going to make us end up like leeds utd. We must be sitting on a big transfer chest with the signings that have already been shown the door plus what we had set aside any way.

Add to that the possible departures of sissoko and wimmer.

Not to mention the prize money from the league, sponsorship deals, tv money and all the rest.

The problem he has is paying someone more than kane. He wont do it as others will be demanding the same. So that for me rules out any wow signing. Barkley is our number one bu the looks of it and then that young argentine defender. Other than that I cant see who else.
 
Why do the Levy lovers always say we shouldn't bankrupt the club trying to win trophies? I really don't get it. It seems that anyone who rates Levy highly, this is their stand out response to anyone questioning the club.

We won't go bankrupt, and nobody on here expects ridiculous transfer fee's and wages.

Just bizarre.
