In all the excitement over the shiny new forum, it's been a bit overlooked that Dalian Atkinson would have turned 50 today, had his life not been cut so tragically short.

So just a quick post to raise a toast to the great man - happy birthday Dalian, Holte Ender in the Sky :tophat: :cheers:

 
What a goal.

These three in the League Cup were up there in terms of their importance in Villa\s history - two v Tranmere and the one in the final. I'd forgotten how late that goal in the semi-final 2nd leg was - 88 minutes!!

Tranmere is another fantastic memory as well. Fond memory of that kit lol That made a nice watch!
 
That Tranmere game will never be surpassed for me in terms of drama and atmosphere. Went with my Dad (a Dingle, but obvs a Villan that day) and we started out halfway down the Holte and by the end of the 90 minutes, we were almost at the front :wahey:

Absolutely JPA. Epic game. Privilege to have been there. Kind of forget Dalians goal in that semi final with his Wimbledon goal and the final goal.

Thanks Dalian. RIP. Holte ender in the sky.
