Did anyone else see Dean Smith dismissing the Villa job the other day? “Apparently I’m going to be Villa manager because I’m a Villa fan. But Prince William isn’t being interviewed. It’s just paper talk.” or words to that effect.

Two days later he’s confirmed as manager. In football we constantly hear diplomatic/standard responses only for the complete opposite to happen shortly after.
