Is it me or do others get the impression that the football gods have said, "FA Cup run? Forget it." We face a horrible away tie at Yeovil and if by some miracle we get through that, in all likelihood we face an even tougher game as far away as it is possible to be in Exeter. Nah, lets focus on the league and maybe Challinor can work some of his FA Trophy magic.
 
Agree Alf2, Pools never seem to get a great deal of luck. Whether it be in FA Cup draws or decisions on waterlogged pitches.

Think the important thing potentially to come out of tonight's game will be how the team / squad react to Challinor and his method of playing / competing.
I don't imagine Pools will get a result, but we should at least be competitive.
 
So Exeter beat Cambridge tonight so that's us away to the Grecians, one of the longest trips its possible to do in English footy. I was hoping for a Cambridge win but like I said above, the football gods are having a laugh with us. I reckon if we beat Exeter we'll be away to Plymouth in the next round.
