that was Frankie VivaldiDid Vivaldi walk like a man?
quattro staggioni? NoIs the music about pizza?
As summer fades and autumn takes over, our thoughts turn, of course, to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, in which each season gets its own violin concerto.
Sit back close your eyes, and let the music wash over you.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Autumn.
We shouldn't forget, either, that Sir Neville Mariner was a Lincoln lad, who went to the Lincoln School, as was/did musician Steve Race
I have no idea who they are !
I need to up my culture levels
Neville Mariner was a violinist and famous (obviously not that famous!!) conductor. I remember Steve Race as a pianist - more jazz than classical - and presenter/panellist on radio and television programmes.
My Grandad was a bus conductor on the Coropration buses. Not sure which school he went to though. Joking apart, have a listen to Classic FM. Neville Mariner often gets a name check on there.Ah ok thanks !
Not up on conductors or jazz!!
