In the end 5,296 is a pretty decent crowd given conditions, opposition, late inspection, poor current form, low away attendance and close to Xmas.

It didn't look like a 5,296 crowd to me. I'm starting to think that the number announced includes all ST Holders, whether they attend or not.

It gives an indication of the overall health of the club. Decent and increasing crowds might encourage further investment in players/facilities.

Small or falling crowds might result in some belt tightening.

I am still hoping that the club might get a few new u-bends and the services of a plumber for the RE bogs. It's getting deep in there again. Small children will need life vests soon.

Yup ludicrous for something that takes little maintenance from a local plumber or handy man.

Would agree the crowd looked more like 4k than 5k, loads of gaps in the Medway stand, upper tier blocks towards Rainham end virtually empty.

Definitely going. It's an unconditional love affair. Going to the Gills is in my DNA. League position & form are irrelevant for my attendance.

Also booked tickets for MK Dons & AFC Wimbledon.

Will be going to Chesterfield as well.

I personally counted 26 away fans so they blatantly included the players and staff. Fair play to those who did turn up though.
