It is rather ironic that the person Kuenssberg replaced did not come under anywhere near as much scrutiny as far as impartiality is concerned; especially when that person was a former President of Oxford University Conservative Association.

All of the Political Editors at the BBC, as far as I can remember - Robinson, Marr and Oakley - have adopted a non confrontational approach; this was probably a characteristic the BBC look for when they made the appointment.

Most of the opprobrium appears to be coming from Corbynista's still looking to pass on the blame for Decembers farce.

Exactly so, though you have to wonder if some of the criticism is gendered too.
