Coventry City and University of Warwick announce new Sky Blues stadium plans

Interesting. Doesn't sound like there is much in it for the University of Warwick! Adding a 'light rail transport system' sounds ambitious too!

Pie in the sky blues. The rail station near their previous ground was not in use at match times because its hourly service of a single carriage would not have coped. Despite more frequency/flexibility existing Manchester and Sheffield trams close to grounds just like London underground stations are a nightmare of delay for other than trivially attended matches.

It can barely cope with other sports either. I've been to a few Sheffield Steelers matches using the tram, and it is frankly hardly worth it, it gets so crammed.
