Coronavirus

It stacks mate, neither of them specialise in viruses and they have given no proof for their claims - they are the US equivalent of Sherimani being a former nurse and now a complete batshit **** who thinks the vaccine powers your radio.

It could well be man made given the US funding admissions but don't for a second think we don't do the same at Porton Down? and other places we've not heard of. You experiment with virus/pathogens for good reason but it doesn't mean a fuck up can't occur.

Does look like it slowing down again, but we've another spike to come haven't we?

I don't think they know mate, they expected the numbers to still be rising at the moment (3rd wave) and it is 2 weeks now since restrictions ended, so I believe they thought numbers would be on the rise from that now as well. I guess Monday/Tuesday numbers will be crucial to that, a big spike and the more worrying numbers might be back on the cards, at the moment the infection numbers are strangely lower - and some reports I've read have questionned how many apps have been turned off, how many aren't testing, the effect of schools on holiday, etc to explain the numbers being low.

We live in hope though, that things are just improving!

Students at universities won’t need to be double jabbed to attend lectures, but will need proof of double jab /negative lateral flow to go to night clubs .

More clear as mud guidance then. :slap:
You'd just hope kids bright enough to go to uni would get vaccinated but you just know there will be loads of idiot anti Vaxxers amongst them

Plenty of kids out there are just as dumb. The North American lead of our company who is Irish, his son was refusing to get it. He’s just finished school and about to go into college. Some of the younger kids like that are the worst because they think they’re smart.

No searching the internet for non-mainstream news doesn’t make you smart and it might not even make you informed.

Why do this ffs just stop them going anywhere until they're jabbed. They'll soon change their mind then.

Just seen a girl , probably late teens early 20’s, being interviewed on the news. Only went to the vaccine centre today as they offered a free meal to her in the text she received.

Just staggering.

So 68% of 18-29 year olds have has one jab which contributes to 88% of all U.K. adults having had one jab.

That’s pretty good to me, but the focus should be more on the over 30’s who haven’t had even one jab. What are their reasons for not having it, as they’ll be more likely to be a death statistic.

If private companies want to offer incentives then that’s what they choose to do in the free market, it isn’t being subsidised by the government unless I’m misreading.

The under 30’s have played a massive part during this pandemic, I feel they deserve credit for the role they’ve played overall despite the selective news stories at times.

We must be nearing here immunity with the vaccine rate where it is.

.

The point for me is that private or public bodies, the fact that anyone needs to be offered an incentive to get the jab is a sad indictment .

It’s a marketing cost to them, they offer free sign up things all the time. They’re just jumping on a moral high ground, if they get a 50% retention from sign up they’re doing well
