What's everyone's thoughts on the Montauk Project & other secret programs like the Philidelphia experiement?

For those who are not familiar with the Montauk Project and the many books written on the subject, this overview is designed to familiarize you with the story. For those already familiar with the Montauk saga, this information will serve to reorient you to the various subjects involved in this mammoth plot.

The Montauk Project: Experiments in Time was released in June of 1992 and was a concise and summarized briefing on one of the most amazing and secretive research projects in recorded history. Colloquially known as the Montauk Project, the origins of this bizarre operation date back to 1943 when invisibility experiments were conducted aboard the USS Eldridge, a newly built destroyer escort. As the Eldridge was stationed at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, the events concerning the ship have commonly been referred to as the "Philadelphia Experiment." The objective of this experiment was to make the ship undetectable to radar and while that was achieved, there was a totally unexpected and drastic side effect. The ship became invisible to the naked eye and was removed from time and space as we know it. Although this was a remarkable breakthrough in terms of technology, it was a catastrophe to the people involved. Sailors had been transported out of this dimension and returned in a state of complete mental disorientation and horror. Some were even planted into the bulk-head of the ship itself. Those who survived were discharged as "mentally unfit" or otherwise discredited and the entire affair was covered up.

John von Neumann was a logical choice to head up this new project at Brookhaven. Not only was he the inventor of the modern computer and a mathematical genius in his own right, he was able to draw on the enormous resources of the military industrial complex. These included the vast data base of Nazi psychological research acquired by the Allies after World War II. It was against this background that von Neumann attempted to couple computer technology with sophisticated radio equipment in an attempt to link people’s minds with machines. Over time, his efforts were quite successful. After years of empirical experimentation, human thoughts could eventually be received by esoteric crystal radio receivers and relayed into a computer which could store the thoughts in terms of information bits. This thought pattern could in turn be displayed on a computer screen and printed out on a piece of paper. These principles were developed and the techniques were enhanced until a virtual mind reading machine was constructed. At the same time, technology was developed so that a psychic could think a thought which could be transmitted out a computer and potentially affect the mind of another human being. Ultimately, the Montauk Project obtained a superior understanding of how the mind functions and achieved the sinister potential for mind control. A full report was made to Congress who in turn ordered the project to be disbanded, at least in part for fear of having their own minds controlled.

Really, Tubbz? Are you still trying?

Shouldn't this be in the existing thread for one? Bet J has a fit!!! :19: :19: :19: :19: :19:

It would be rude of me to take this one away from you. Peace.

So is this about invisibility or psychic power? Yours, Confused of Norway.

The US Government is such an active bunch of lads. They are always up to something, aren't they?

You have to wonder where they find the time for all of their secret meetings, mad experiments, clandestine wars, space cover ups and whatever else they get up to.

Yes, as intimated before, it always seems to be our friends across the pond involved!!!!

Or, maybe, the American public have nothing better to o than look for these "stories"?

Do other countrys' governments get up to that lark or is it only the US that goes in for those shenanigans?

Haven't you seen any Movies over the last 40 years? The Aliens always go the Americans first. That's why they are experimenting with all this cool tech.

Don't worry, though. The US also always save the day.

:54:

its interesting that Americans are so troubled by their government that this stuff gets believed.

I seem to remember an East German being interviewed after the Berlin wall came down. He was asked why the people didn't rise up earlier against their government. He said people didn't worry about the government because they were always worried about where their next meal came from. I suppose it is the sign of a wealthy nation that the people can create such conspiracy stories and invest such time in them.

Exactly. I don't think the internet has helped. There is so much disinformation being put out, and people aren't checking it. They just fall for it hook, line and sinker.

This has nothing to do with Aliens mate

It therefore needs its own thread

I find it funny that the same heads go from thread to thread and just tear into anything that doesn't fit into their little box of thought

I think I need to change the thread title to official conspiracy thread

What about this for the ultimate conspiracy

Anyone looked into the McCartney conspiracy? Weird how some of the pictures of him look like different people and his ears and eye colour changes. Could be the photography, could be age, could be plastic surgery or he could have died.

Anyone looked at the evidence? And i mean physical not the album message rubbish

The US Government is such an active bunch of lads.

I read that as "honest bunch of lads".... :10:

I really need to put the O'Dreary years behind me now.

I did use the phrase 'bunch of lads' as a homage to DOL and also to diminish the seriousness in which the US government is always portrayed.

If you insist.

The only problem here is that we know where the Eldridge went, so it didn't become invisible.

Sorry, mate. I know you love this sort of thing, so don't really want to take them all from you.
