Connections with Lincoln

Casperimp

Vital 1st Team Regular
It's interesting how some fans of the club have tenuous connections with the City yet still support The Imps.

I know one guy who lives in Manchester but has never lived in or near Lincoln but his dad (I think) was from here originally. I often chat with him at home and away matches.

Anybody else on here with long connections like that or do you know anyone like that?

I never used to support lincoln but lived in Doncaster but went to see my grandma in washingborough every Saturday I used to go with my uncle to the match but before that I used to train and watch Doncaster sometimes so now I’ve had 16 years of watching the imps! It all has to start somewhere no matter where you are in the world

One.

(that's the number of goals this 'key player' got for us... was a decent one though as I'm sure you remember Leo... tell us about it as I'm not sure it ever got televised... then we'll all know if you're the real thing... or at least the 3,000 or so Imps fans who were there will)

I'll give him a clue. It was in a 3-4 defeat.

In a nutshell :- Dad was a fan, as was his Dad, who attended the Bank in Bill Anderson's era. I have a large family still living in Lincoln. My Uncle was a regular season ticket holder barring the last ten years of caring for my Auntie and is joining me and my son next season.

Born and bred in Yorkshire, but an Imp through and through. It's in the blood.

Born at 26 Scorer St, as was my dad. He used to go to all of the reserve matches. I think I remember the "Sincil Bank side" before it was concreted.

Mum's parents lived at 107 Sincil Bank so exposed to LCFC from an early age whether I liked it or not! Uncle is a long standing ST holder, as is his son. Sort of kept track via Dad when I came to London but never really a supporter....but you can't get away from the Imps!

SE London exile who was introduced to LCFC in 1960 ish through family. Never lived in Lincoln or Lincolnshire . Used to travel to matches but not now. More of a follower than a supporter.

You can take the boy from London , but never will London be taken from the boy. Best city in the world. IMO of course

My Dad lived on Queen Street as a boy and almost drowned in Sincil Drain in the 1930s.
