Finally, way later than expected the trigger has been pulled, Luke Williams has been shown the door. Harley and Lawtey have also left.
It should have happened after the 4-0 hammering by lowly Portsmouth 9 matches ago on New Years Day and not 6 defeats from 8 games later. We may pay the price for this hesitancy.
Sheehan has been put in temporary charge assisted by Margetson and O’Leary.
The fans forum has been postponed to a later date.
Let’s hope Coleman has been compiling a list of candidates for a quick appointment.

If he reproduces those results we would have 48 points with two games of the season left.

Taking an average over the last ten seasons, 45 points has been enough to avoid relegation to League One.
 
A heads up on a new name being mentioned for the Swans job, American Jesse Marsch.

After retiring from playing in 2010 he became assistant to Bob Bradley for the USA National team, but was fired together with Bradley in July 2011.

Stints at Montreal Impact, New York Red Bulls, RB Leipzig (asst head-coach to Ralf Rangnik), RB Salzburg, RB Leipzig (head-coach) followed, before being appointed head-coach at Leeds in Feb 22.

Jesse Marsch's record at Leeds United: 37 games, 11 wins, 10 draws, 16 defeats for a 29.73% win percentage.

The narrow style Marsch was trying to implement failed to produce consistent performances, attractive football or results. He was sacked after a year in charge in Feb 23 and succeeded by Javi Gracia.

He is presently head-coach of the Canada National team.

The facts -

On Tue 18 Feb Luke Williams left Swansea City after a run of 7 defeats in 9 matches. Swansea at that moment were 17th in the table and 8 points clear of the bottom three with 13 fixtures of the season left.

The bad run had started with a 4-0 defeat at Portsmouth on 1 Jan and snowballed from there. His last game was a 3-1 defeat at struggling Stoke on 15 Feb with only 4 points gained from a possible 27. During that period they were also well beaten 3-0 by struggling PL bottom team Southampton on 12 Jan in the FA Cup. Saints had previously only won 1 game in 20 since their promotion.

In stark contrast before that bad run Swansea were only four points outside the play-off places and 9th in the table after post-Christmas home wins, 3-0 over QPR 26/12 and 2-1 Luton Town 29/12.

First team coach Alan Sheehan took over on Wed 19 Feb and in less than 8 weeks he has overseen a remarkable turn around in form W5 D2 L2 conceding only 5 goals and up near the top of the form guide table.

With just four matches left he has further chances to garner points, keep the run going and enhance his CV.
