Co-Op Bank

Probably true but we do need to keep in mind changes to bank legislation, capital adequacy requirements to avoid another HBOS and the impact that has on costs and balance sheets. We all know Coop Bank was nearly more bust than LCFC. There is much more cost now attached to a poor quality debt - it's not just a case of sitting back and raking in the revenue. The fact no bank will take us on speaks volumes about just how profitable our banking business is.

The bonusses and the Bolly keep on going, though!

It has been bought by American hedge fund investors who see the opportunity to make a very quick buck if they can turn it round so the nationality of the group is very important because Americans are now in contol not the original British.

Are you OK with South African hedge fund investors? :he he:

Absolutley. Nothing wrong with any hedge fund investor in my view!

Ours appears to be a "retired" hedge fund investor with an interest in Everton and Lincoln City and, for all I know, possibly delightfully bonkers as well. The Co-op Bank is owned by a very active one. :):) with, so far as is known, no particular enthusiasm for a football club.

PS: It should also be mentioned that the new "owners" of the Co-op Bank have binned hundreds of tiny charity accounts all over the country - the vast majority very modestly in credit and not with a whopping overdraft like ourselves but which are no longer a money "fit" for the previously ethical Co-op Bank because there is not enough money traffic and it's not enough money to bother with anyway.......the Dorchester Women's Institute only had £750 quid to their name so you can see why the new look Co-op got shot of them.
