Club Statement

With planned protests tomorrow the club are rattled and if there was any doubt about exactly where Benitez's loyalties lay they should be removed by the following statement:

"As the transfer window closes and attentions turn to the start of the season, we wanted to make this joint statement, on behalf of everyone at the club.
Doing good business in a transfer window is about ending the window clearly stronger than when you started and we believe we have done this. The view we all share is that we have a better squad now than the one that finished tenth last season and all involved have worked tirelessly to make this happen.
Collectively, we must extend praise to Steve Nickson and his recruitment team. Their operations are year-round, but they have worked day and night in recent months to support efforts to enhance the squad.
We are all excited about the seven players who have joined us this summer. Their combined experience in the Premier League and at an international level – with three of them appearing at this summer’s World Cup for their respective countries – cannot fail to strengthen us.
Martin Dúbravka and Kenedy have already proven themselves to be fantastic players here and we are confident that Ki Sung-yueng, Fabian Schär, Yoshinori Mutō, Salomón Rondón and Federico Fernandez will be excellent additions to the dressing room.
Given our finishing position last season, we already had a team of players who were more than capable of performing well in the Premier League. They have shown heart, guts and determination and the inference that they are ‘Championship’ players and not good enough is unfair and untrue. The players all believe in themselves and in the quality of the squad, and we all believe in the players.
Now, it’s about all of us pulling in the same direction, for the good of the club. This came through strongly in a recent positive call between our owner and senior members of the squad, who agreed that better dialogue going forward will benefit all parties and is in the best interests of the club.
With the transfer window now closed, the focus should be on unity and getting behind the efforts on the pitch.
We know our supporters are incredibly passionate and we know that passion will be channelled into supporting the players we have in black and white on Saturday, and every matchday thereafter home or away."

This is supposedly signed by Charnley, Benitez and Lascelles. Company men to the bitter end.

Fuck Ashley, Fuck Benitez and Fuck Lascelles you've shown your colours now .

This is Barnes and Bishop all over, what a load of absolute horlicks.

This has been nothing more than a carefully planned and deliberate action to wind up NUFC fans. Ashley is just telling the fans HE is the one in control and will do things HIS way and thats it. Same as he's always done.

Hope SDU get turned over every single game this season, the next and continues until that fat fucking prick has sold up or is in the ground.

Fuck SDU, fuck the lot of them.

I notice the last bit is trying to guilt people into still turning up. Not that they needed any persuasion, the spineless pricks.

All that statement has done is confirm that it's all a PR trick as if we didn't already know.

It's aim to cause confusion or further splits within the fanbase when just the odd simple bit of research can tell you the truth.

So we're led to believe that Rafa is in on it and part of the debacle when last week his anger and words created groups on social media that plan to follow him when he leaves and cause shite for Ashley's business interests.

I know what I believe.

Why isn't Rafa refuting that statement ? I know there's a protest planned the morra and that it's clearly got Ashley and co worried.
What exactly do you believe then Toony? I'm bloody sure Keegan wouldn't have allowed himself to be quoted as a co author of the above type of statement.

Rafa needs to walk and then we'll see if all these "ifrafagoeswego" merchants are true to their words. He won't though. He's a fucking fraud. Giving lip service to the support whilst lining the fatman's pockets. Same as Pardew and Kinnear, just a better reputation and better at playing the politics.

Look around social media, the vast majority see through the statement and if anything it's increased the anger. The proof is in the pudding of course. A statement that will have been typed up by Bishop and those who have had their names added probably against their knowledge are under contract and can't come out guns blazing for legal reasons no doubt.

As for Rafa, he's cut from a different cloth than Keegan in that he's not a reactive person. Was Keegan right to walk when he did? We all agreed that he was but ive often wondered what would have happened if he had played the game of politics in which Rafa is so hardened at.

History has told us many things but the Keegan tribunal delivered the best description of the regime and how they work and it can't ever be forgotten about in any scenario that pans out.

The Club admitted to the Tribunal that it repeatedly and intentionally misled the press, public and the fans of Newcastle United.

It's either Rafa's part of the statement or by his silence he's allowing lies to be told in his name. Neither of which are very palatable.

To be fair, I am facing redundancy now, a situation not unlike Rafa in the last year of his contract. My attitude is to get in the business that I can and make sure that everything I do up to the deadline enhances my CV. If I was in Rafa's place, I would be looking for a top half finish and want the support on my side.

My customers can kick off at the less professional approach without me and Rafa is basically saying the same.

No mention of a five year plan! Just the usual shit spun by the regime. Its a free country and if people want to go thats fine but in doing so they are supporting the regime along with the team.

Just come back from the pub and find it incredible that our captain and manager have put their name to that bullshit.

I can only hope that it's part of the fat ***** exit policy, it's surely got to be. The two most respected people at the club endorsing that shite.

Isn't funny how the players' bonus were sorted pretty quickly before Lacelles put his name to that statement.

As for Rafa. I've got absolute trust in him as a person and football manager.

He's on our side...COYM
