Club for sale/investment

There just seems to be that many rumours - it being summer holidays can't be a co-incidence- it's hard to keep up with them all at the minute.
 
I’d like to see it reported from someone genuine or someone prepared to at least put their actual name to it.

That said, given Nixon reporting a League 1 team is due for a takeover from ex PL players and the consistent rumours around from various people, including on this forum, I am cautiously optimistic.
 
As for Lucas, I highly doubt he cares enough about Wigan Athletic to resign in protest at how we’re being ran.

As has been mentioned, he’s still listed as a director.
 
Lucas Danson runs Accelerate Ventures and was explicitly brought in to lead a data-driven strategy for both the football and rugby sides of the business. Claiming he is resigning is just a manufactured puzzle piece designed to make the initial fake takeover bid(s) look credible.

From an accounting and corporate governance perspective, a resignation isn't real until a TM01 form (Termination of appointment of director) is legally filed and logged. Until that document appears on the ledger, he is still fully active and legally responsible as a director.

Nixon's been peddling that one for ages, never named the club or responded to any of our asking if it's us. No doubt there's a group interested in a L1 club but I've genuinely no idea if it's us or someone else
