Sorry if this has been posted already, wi-fi dipping out on train to Blackpool but The Athletic are reporting we are up for sale/investment or are at least putting the feelers out
Be very careful what you wish for FrankNow I'm happy with that news if it's true, and if Ebenezer does stay on in some capacity then he won't be selling to some fly by night. I hope the plan comes to fruition.again if it's true.
I am don't worry about that, the bit about "shouldering some of the burden going forward" is good news, Ebenezer may guarantee he'll fund and we stay at the stadium along with the rugby, we just have a different owner.Be very careful what you wish for Frank
Most of the players we have won't be at the club after this season Taff so no need for them to be "upset" by this news. Can do without more upset just as things were looking positive. Hope the players dont see this before Blackpool match.
Concerned?I'm sure all clubs are up for sale so I wouldn't get too concerned about this.
I'm not addressing you. You have made your points loud and clear but we tend to dismiss them anyway eg Lowey is a good football managerConcerned?![]()
If so, would Sharpie be willing to returnI am don't worry about that, the bit about "shouldering some of the burden going forward" is good news, Ebenezer may guarantee he'll fund and we stay at the stadium along with the rugby, we just have a different owner.
He doesn't have enough cash of his own to fund a football club.If so, would Sharpie be willing to return
If that happens, rent would probably be due. Can you imagine the meltdown if we ended up paying rent to the Warriors for the stadium DW bought and charged them rent to use for years.I am don't worry about that, the bit about "shouldering some of the burden going forward" is good news, Ebenezer may guarantee he'll fund and we stay at the stadium along with the rugby, we just have a different owner.
DW charged BOTH clubs rent as he put the ground in a separate holding company, Latics and Rugby were both tenantsIf that happens, rent would probably be due. Can you imagine the meltdown if we ended up paying rent to the Warriors for the stadium DW bought and charged them rent to use for years.
Loads on here say that was always the case.If that happens, rent would probably be due. Can you imagine the meltdown if we ended up paying rent to the Warriors for the stadium DW bought and charged them rent to use for years.
I always believed that Talal had good intentions. He & Al Jasmi were easily led by Brannigan.Loads on here say that was always the case.
It was only under Talal that it was clear that the Stadium was fully ours.
Such a shame the money was stopped and it went tits up under the Bahraini ownership.
I've not seen anything in the accounts about rent. As we use the stadium for 23 league games and at least 2 pizza cup games, I would assume it would be a hefty item on the balance sheet - north of £1m?DW charged BOTH clubs rent as he put the ground in a separate holding company, Latics and Rugby were both tenants
Danson’s current arrangement mirrors that situation.
I assume WAFC owned the ground under the Hong Kong and Bahraini ownerships… much good it did us…
The Stadium company always lost money and I guess it still does ?
